Information collected when you visit
The web server automatically records requests to the site. These records can include your IP address, the date and time, the requested page or resource, browser and device information supplied in the user-agent string, the referring page if your browser sends it, and technical details such as the response status and amount of data sent.
Site administration tools also store request records to understand access patterns, distinguish automated crawlers and diagnose delivery or security issues. These records can contain IP addresses and are not anonymous visitor counts.
Information you send to us
If you email us, your message may include your name, email address, attachments and other information you choose to provide. We use that information to respond to your enquiry, investigate a reported issue and keep a record of the correspondence. Please avoid sending passwords or personal information that is not needed for your enquiry.
Cookies and site features
The current website does not offer public account registration or comments. WordPress uses cookies for administrator sign-in and authentication checks. Ordinary article browsing does not currently require an account or an advertising cookie.
The current site configuration does not include advertising trackers or third-party browser analytics. Server access logging still occurs when you visit. You can inspect, block or clear cookies through your browser settings; blocking authentication cookies can affect sign-in.
How information is used and accessed
Technical request information supports website delivery, troubleshooting, security and analysis of website access. Access to the server administration tools and the request-log dashboard is restricted. Hosting, infrastructure and email providers may process information as part of supplying their services.
The publisher is based in Australia. Service providers may process information outside Australia; this policy does not represent that every server or service provider is located in Australia. You can contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry.
Storage and retention
Website records are stored on the hosting infrastructure and may be included in protected backups. Connections to the public website use HTTPS.
The server rotates access-log files daily and retains 14 rotated files. Separately stored request records and backup copies do not currently have a fixed automatic deletion schedule and remain stored until they are removed through administration. The rotation of access logs therefore does not mean that every copy of a request record is deleted after 14 days.
Email correspondence is retained in the publisher’s mailbox and may also be retained by its email service provider. To ask about retention or request deletion of information relating to you, use the contact details below. A request will need to be assessed against the information held and any applicable retention requirements.
Links to other websites
Articles link to journal publishers, documentation and other websites. Following a link sends a request to that website, which may receive technical information from your browser. Those websites apply their own privacy policies and are responsible for their own information handling.
Privacy enquiries, access and corrections
Email contact@csec3888.com to ask about information relating to you, request access or correction, request deletion, or make a privacy complaint. Describe the issue and, if relevant, the page and approximate date of your visit. We may need further information to identify the relevant records or verify that a request relates to you.
